Want the newest music? Got to have it on the go? Check out the new CMT app, CMT Artists. This new app will display content all ready found on the CMT artist’s page but will also give access to unseen videos and performances. The first segment presented via this format is CMT Listen Up. Since 2011, CMT Listen Up has presented more than 22 artists to the public-most of whom have gone on to have highly successful careers. Some of the most notable to be showcased are Kasey Musgraves (now Grammy award winner), Brantley Gilbert, Brett Eldridge, and Hunter Hayes. The web show focuses on up and coming artists as well as those who are moving on up in their career. The first six artists presented are: Danielle Bradbery, Cole Swindell, Thomas Rhett, Dan + Shay, Jerrod Niemann, Sunday Best, and David Nail. Leslie Fram, SVP of Music Strategy, CMT stated, “We’re excited to get behind this diverse mix of incredibly talented artists, and LISTEN UP is just the first of many opportunities to highlight them across CMT” in a Press Release in late February. All of these artists have recently released music that can be found on iTunes.
In my time at CMT, I had the opportunity to be at Danielle Bradbery’s performance for the show. Five of her performances are showcased on the Listen Up site and app. We filmed at a small club in Nashville called SEEN earlier this year. Not only was Danielle an amazing and talented artist, but she was also the sweetest girl. She really loves what she does and it showcased in everything she does. Not only that, but she stays true to who she is, a seventeen year old. She laughed with friends and family while on set and made the experience really casual.
So if you feel like playing Where’s Waldo (no really I was wearing a red and white striped sweater that day), look for me on the left hand side of the stage! And make sure to check out the other artists presented on the site and app! http://www.cmt.com/artists/collections/cmt-listen-up/896712/
